The REAL Summer Deal - Real, Quezon

If it isn't too late for the hot weather to come and give you some reason to take a refreshing getaway at Real, Quezon! Real is known for its numerous beach resorts with lots of bikini and surfing bodies - *ehem* I mean BUDDIES! Expect spending less than P2000.00 per head for staying up to three days in this place.

From my own adventure, I have had an experience with three of the great destinations in Real Quezon; but before that, shall I speak of how I got there in the first place.

The first step in engaging in a vacation is, of course, travelling to the destination. The Raymond Bus Station is located at Legarda Street, Sampaloc, Manila. An ordinary bus will cost around P150 - 200 and an aircon bus will cost just a little bit more than that. Choose the Manila-Infanta bus ride and tell the conductor to drop you off at "The PaRK".

The Pacific Recreation Kamp (The PaRK) is highly committed to its name. For those who are eaten up by the corruption of our modernized and urbanized system that really stresses us up, you can get a great escape from those head-aching buildings and have a two-day camp to recreate yourself around mother nature. Rates will be listed down below.

Here are some pictures of the place:

In The PaRK, the entrance will welcome you with a green-loving park-like environment. At the center would stand a convenience store selling different products such as soap, shampoo, tissue, canned good, etc. It is also where you should approach first after entering the place for the payment of your stay. There is also a public restroom and a shower room just right beside the store. Somewhere around the corner of the park would be an entrance to the beach-side and expect a 5-minute walk before reaching the seashore.

Food? No problemo! Real, Quezon is known for its freshly-caught fishes. Just go outside and find for a tricycle. Tell him to bring you to Talipapa and here will be a 5 to 10 minute drive. It will just cost you P10.00 to travel one-way. Go and grab some fishes, kid!

After buying an enough amount of fishes, shrimps, lobsters, etc. for your day, travel back to The PaRK for the same price. If you want to grill it yourself, buy some of your ingredients. If not, you can have it cooked by a very friendly woman who lives at the right of the entrance - facing it. You just have to pay P80 for every kilogram. P80 is the minimum payment even if you only have half-a-kilo.

It was already the third day and I have to get going. My next destination will be REAL Coast & Surf! It might cost around P300 from PaRK to Coast & Surf.

Real Coast & Surf is a perfect place for bikini watchers - I mean, wave catchers; but this place is quite expensive and might cost you more than you think.

This place offers tent pitching/renting, free grilling, cabanas, rooms, and cottages. Corkage for food is also free, but corkage for LOCAL alcohol brands ONLY require payment. Well, if it is a Jack or Johnny, corkage is free!

And at last, for my last day and my last destination, I will travel to Nonok Falls for a sweet goodbye. It will only cost P20.00 for the entrance fee to the falls. You can also rent a cottage just beside the waterfalls! Imagine how wonderful it is. But before getting there, you have to have a 10-minute walk. Well, it's got a wonderful trail anyway.

After my worthy 10-minute walk, there have I arrived the falls! I can see hermit crabs anywhere and they're so sooo cute!

But then, it was so worth it to be here. You can stay for as long as you want and have a peaceful rest among the rocks and rivers. Real, Quezon is one of the places I can say that I might call a second home because it relieves my modernized cultural tension and relieves my social anxiety. People there are very friendly and you have nothing to worry about when it comes to pickpockets and criminals. Although, it is not an excuse to put your guard down. Stay alert and stay safe. But then, this place will also make your tummy stay full! It was one of my greatest getaways and vacations! I'll be back and I hope to see you there soon!
