What You Need
For Oil:
- Pinch of Dried Oregano Leaves
- 4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 5 Fresh Basil Leaves
- 1 tbsp Dried Rosemary Leaves
For Sauce:
- 8 tbsp Heinz Ketchup
- 8 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 6 tbsp Honey
- 2 cloves of Garlic
- 1 small cube of Ginger
- Pinch of Black Ground Pepper
- 1 Slab of Fresh Thin-Cut Beef
- Himalayan Pink Salt (Recommended) / Any Ground Salt
- Ground Black Pepper
- Pinch of Dried Oregano Leaves
- 1 cube of Butter
- Meat Mallet
- Clean Cloth
- Cooking Brush
Procedure
For Aromatic Oil:
- Medium-heat frying pan for 1 minute and pour extra virgin olive oil over pan.
- Let the oil simmer for a while.
- Put basil, dried rosemary, and dried oregano leaves on the pan.
- Stir-fry until oil smells aromatic.
- Strain the oil to separate the leaves from the fluid.
- Pour the oil into a different container.
For Teriyaki Sauce:
- Combine and mix Heinz ketchup, soy sauce, and honey together.
- Mince garlic and ginger; then toss and mix them with the sauce.
- Medium-heat frying pan for 1 minute.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce mix on the frying pan. Simmer until the sauce turns thick.
- Transfer the teriyaki sauce to a different container.
For Meat:
- Remove the meat from the refrigerator and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Pat-dry both sides of the meat slab with a clean cloth. Never wipe the cloth over the meat.
- Season and massage both sides of meat with Himalayan Pink Salt and Ground Black Pepper.
- High-heat the frying pan for 2 minutes and pour 1 tbsp of the aromatic oil over pan. Let simmer for 10 seconds.
- Slowly place the meat over the heated pan. Fry each side of the meat for 40 seconds. Don't forget to brush the meat with butter while frying. Don't overcook.
- Transfer the meat to a plate, brush it with more butter, lightly season one side of the meat, and let the meat rest for 3 minutes.
Final Procedure:
- After the beef steak's 3-minute rest, cut the meat into strips or into the shape of your desire.
- Place the beef strips on a plate and drizzle the teriyaki sauce over it. Never over-pour the sauce.
- Lightly season the Beef Teriyaki with dried oregano leaves.
- Pour the remaining teriyaki sauce into a serving container.
